The Science Academy STEM Magnet
The Science Academy STEM Magnet is a public, college preparatory magnet school for grades 6 through 12. We offer a college-bound curriculum that nurtures students’ intrinsic motivation for learning and encourages students to surpass expectations. We seek to prepare our students for careers that will shape our nation’s future by incorporating science, technology, engineering, and mathematics across academic disciplines.
The middle school was founded in 2016 and the high school was established in 2018. The Class of 2022 was our first graduating class for the high school. Located in North Hollywood, California, the school draws its diverse student population from the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD), the second largest school district in the nation. The Science Academy STEM Highly Gifted/Highly Accelerated Magnet is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and was recognized in 2023 as a California Distinguished School by the State of California for Exceptional Student Performance.
