Money, part 1
Money, money, everywhere.
Make sure to pay your fair share.
If you don’t pay up your taxes,
You’ll be jailed without a care.
Green Cotton Paper
What use could, one could
Ponder; the importance of
The system of a certain
Green paper composed of
Cotton; supposedly, it is
Very precious and desired
To men and women of all
Social classes and places
I could
Burn it
Eat it
Destroy it utterly
And beat it senseless.
To inquire?
How much is your dollar worth? It may go,
It’s a dollar, yes, worth a dollar
Isn’t it common sense, one
Might say and laugh me off
But think again, what is your
Dollar really worth?
You see, it really changes over
Time, depending on the change
In the economy; one way or another
It’s the economy, stupid
It’s the economy, stupid.
How hard can it be?
One cut to interest rates, and—
—you ruined the economy.
